In a statement from the company, Gasly describes the garment as the strongest expression of the French designer: “It is a piece that was born on the tennis court and has become a symbol of effortless elegance.”

Eric Vallat, the CEO of Lacoste, sees the Frenchman as the perfect fit for the brand. Gasly embodies the spirit of performance and perseverance in an ideal way. “His international career, his high standards, and his affinity for disciplines such as tennis and golf harmonize strongly with our universe,” explains Vallat. They look forward to opening a new chapter with him.

Gasly follows in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton

It comes as no surprise that Pierre Gasly is becoming increasingly involved in the fashion sector. The Frenchman has emphasized his passion for design several times in the past, praising Lewis Hamilton as a pioneer. Without Hamilton, things would be different today, Gasly explained to Sky Sports F1 back in 2023.

The Briton paved the way for younger drivers to express themselves fashionably in the paddock as well. Gasly himself was recently a regular guest at Paris Fashion Week, attending shows by Louis Vuitton, Christian Louboutin, and Bluemarble.

As early as the beginning of 2026, the Frenchman even considered the fashion industry as a new field of activity after the end of his racing career. “I will definitely dive into this world at some point,” he said. “I just like the creativity behind it. At the end of the day, I also want to discover other worlds.”

From a purely sporting perspective, things are also going according to plan for Gasly in 2026. After the first three Grands Prix of the season, he currently holds eighth place in the drivers’ standings with finishes of ten, eight, and six. His team, Alpine, which now competes as a Mercedes customer team, currently holds fifth place in the constructors’ world championship.
