50 Stars for Miami: Cadillac unveils US design at the home game

(Motorsport-Total.com) – Newcomer Cadillac will contest its first home race in Formula 1 with a special design: The racing team will compete at this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix with a special livery that is intended to honor the team’s American identity and is incorporated into the two-tone black and white design.

The American “Stars and Stripes” are seamlessly woven into the livery, while the front wing features 50 stars – one for each US state. This connects the team’s familiar identity with American flair.

But there are also real colors to admire in the new design: The rear wing bears the lettering “USA” in the American colors red, white, and blue – “a subtle statement of pride in the team’s origin,” as the team announced.

Accordingly, drivers Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas will wear new, Miami-specific racing suits “that combine expressive accents of American identity with subtle pride.”

“The special livery of the Cadillac Formula 1 team for the Miami Grand Prix is a natural extension and speaks for itself without appearing overloaded. It is deliberately chosen and confident,” says Cassidy Towriss, Chief Brand Advisor of the team.

“This is our first home race, and it was important to us that fans still recognize the identity they’ve come to know. I can’t wait for spectators to see the car on track for the first time. There’s nothing like a home game,” says Towriss.

Cadillac entered Formula 1 as the eleventh team in 2026, but has so far lagged behind the field – with the exception of Aston Martin. The best result for the MAC-26, named in honor of former world champion Mario Andretti, is a 13th place for Valtteri Bottas in the second race of the season in Shanghai.
