Mekies on disqualification
Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies has already issued a statement on the disqualification of Isack Hadjar and explained: “We made a mistake and respect the decision of the race stewards.”
“Through this mistake, neither a performance advantage was intended nor was one gained. We will learn from this incident and review our processes to understand how it happened and take measures to ensure it does not happen again.”
“As a team, we apologize to Isack as well as to our fans and partners. We have learned a hard lesson today, but we will look ahead. Now we focus on turning yesterday’s promising performance into a strong race result this afternoon.”
