In the course of the investigations, a particularly exclusive vehicle has now come into focus. A Koenigsegg One:1 is said to have disappeared. According to reports, Interpol has already been involved to clarify the whereabouts of the hypercar.

The vehicle is considered one of the rarest models in the world. Only seven units were built between 2014 and 2015. The value is estimated in media reports to be up to 22 million US dollars.

Investigations around a multi-million fleet

The former racer’s lawyers see the case in a different light, however. Sutil’s defense speaks of possible extortion in connection with the events. His lawyer Dirk Schmitz explains: “The message was clear, cars out, or there will be consequences.” He also emphasizes that the vehicles, due to their exclusivity, could hardly disappear unnoticed.

As Auto Motor und Sport reports, Sutil is said to have received an anonymous call beforehand. The caller allegedly introduced himself as “Vladimir” and hinted at connections to the Russian Wagner group. These details have not yet been independently confirmed.

Extensive collection of luxury and sports cars

Sutil’s car collection has been considered extraordinary for years. In addition to several super sports cars, it also includes classic and luxurious models. These include, among others, a Mercedes 600, which is said to have previously belonged to the late singer and actor Elvis Presley, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Ferrari California as well as a Koenigsegg Regera and other high-performance vehicles.

Adrian Sutil was active in Formula 1 for a total of seven years. Between 2007 and 2014, he started 128 Grand Prix races. After his debut at the 2007 Australian Grand Prix for the Spyker team, he also stayed with the successor team Force India, for which he drove until the end of 2011.

In 2013 he returned there before completing his last season in 2014 at Sauber. The following year he was still active as a test and reserve driver for Williams.

The investigations in the case are ongoing. Whether and where the missing Koenigsegg One:1 is currently located remains unclear. A worldwide search for the rare luxury car is in full swing.
