(Motorsport-Total.com) – The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 is in full swing this weekend, bringing together current Formula 1 stars, world champions, and racing legends for four days of demonstration runs on the famous hillclimb.

Since the event does not clash with the Formula 1 calendar this year, several current Grand Prix drivers will be on site – along with a variety of former Formula 1 drivers and champions from other racing series.
The top star on this year’s entry list is the reigning Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris, who will take the cockpit of the McLaren MCL60, with which he achieved seven podiums in 2023. For the British team, it is a historically significant car, introduced in 2023 to mark the 60th anniversary of the team’s founding by Bruce McLaren.
Norris will also get a glimpse into McLaren’s future: He will pilot the MCL-HY at its public debut, even before the hypercar competes next year at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Alpine duo Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are also in action. They will take turns behind the wheel of the rebranded Lotus E20 from the 2012 season. The now-retired Kimi Räikkönen famously drove this V8-powered car to victory at the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Meanwhile, the young talent Isack Hadjar will represent Red Bull. He will drive the track-only hypercar RB17 designed by Adrian Newey, alongside Newey himself. Yuki Tsunoda will also alternate with them at the wheel of the 1,200 hp racing machine.
In addition, a whole host of former Formula 1 drivers will be seen at the Festival of Speed this weekend, including absolute legends of the sport like Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi.
Several stars from the sports car world will also grace Goodwood, including Le Mans winners Tom Kristensen and Derek Bell. Fans will see some legendary prototype sports cars during the four-day event, such as the Porsche 962, Ford GT MKII, and McLaren F1 GTR.

Seven-time MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi is the biggest name from the motorcycle world. After his switch to car racing, he will drive the BMW V12 LMR that won Le Mans in 1999. Fans wanting to see him back on two wheels will not be disappointed: He will also ride a Yamaha M1 of the 2020s spec.
Additionally, a lineup of rally drivers will attend, including Sebastien Loeb, Sebastien Ogier, and Nasser Al-Attiyah.
Finally, Dan Ticktum will pilot the new Gen4 Formula E prototype to demonstrate the performance of a modern electric race car.
