Weather

Some observers fear that the race in Madrid could be quite chaotic. If that happens, the weather definitely won’t be a factor, as it is expected to remain dry throughout the weekend in the Spanish capital.

As was the case in Monza a week ago, temperatures will reach over 30 degrees. So it will be a heat battle rather than a rain battle. You can read all about it in our comprehensive weather forecast.

Test an advantage for Ferrari?

The filming day in Madrid naturally raises the question of whether Ferrari has an advantage this weekend regarding setup and such. Lewis Hamilton denies this.

“I think there is virtually nothing,” he says regarding possible advantages and explains: “It was super, super dusty, there was zero grip. We couldn’t work on the car because it wasn’t a test, but a filming day.”

In fact, there are strict regulations for such days, which is why Hamilton emphasizes: “We didn’t even go full throttle in many corners, we simply had too little power and too little grip.”

Therefore, Ferrari has no real advantage after the test.
