Because it is especially in qualifying that it becomes clear who gets more out of the material: With soft tires on the car and little fuel in the tank, the absolute fastest laps of a Grand Prix race weekend are possible. Qualifying is therefore also considered the actual premier discipline in motorsport. It makes it clear who is really fast – and who is not.

The gaps in brackets in qualifying and sprint qualifying each refer to the last common session of the two drivers, because this is the last and decisive time comparison. In the sprint and in the race, the gap in seconds is given with one rounded decimal place.
