The question of whether there is a specific time when Verstappen wants to comment on his future was answered at the press conference: “No, there is nothing to say.”
Verstappen was then explicitly asked if he wants to race for Red Bull next year. “I don’t want to say anything about that,” was the answer from the 71-time Grand Prix winner. “Yes, no, this or that about my future. I have often said that if there is something new, I would announce it myself.”
Especially after the race weekends in Austria and Great Britain, speculation about the Red Bull driver’s future was fueled. After all, Verstappen was anything but pleased with the technical problems on his rear wing.
