Leclerc: Brakes were to blame
The Monegasque spoke about his crash and explained: “Three of my four brakes were not working.” Only the left front brake engaged, all others did not or not properly.
He assured that this could also be seen in the data and emphasized: “There was no deceleration at all.” The Ferrari driver had already complained about brake problems all weekend.
“I can only say that we have the solution, and I will switch to Lewis’ configuration from the next race, which hopefully means progress. But it was a nightmare,” said Leclerc.

Audi Update
Small update from Audi. They have not yet given up hope of sending both cars into the race. “We have to start from the pit lane, but let’s see if we can do it,” said Bortoleto on Sky.

Investigation against Perez
The Mexican has already incurred an investigation before the start because he apparently performed his practice start in the wrong place. This will be investigated again after the race.
Lawson on the grid, Bortoleto not
The information from colleagues was probably not correct. Lawson did make it onto the grid. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the problems with his car are permanently resolved.
The bad news: Bortoleto didn’t make it; he rolled out just behind the pit exit. Is Audi losing another car here before the start?
It is certainly already clear that there will not be a start with 22 cars again. Bortoleto will at most be able to follow the field from the pit lane now.
Pit lane open
40 minutes until the start and the pit lane is now open. Drivers now have ten minutes to make their way to the grid. According to Sky, Lawson will definitely not make it.
